Video consultations via accurx using PC and webcam

Before you start

It’s best to warn the patient (by phone or reception) that you’re going to

Warn the patient (by phone or reception) that you’re going to send them a link for a video consultation and they should click on the link and then click 'Request Permissions' to allow access to audio and video on their phone. You need a webcam.

Copy and paste the link into Chrome (it doesn't work with Explorer) but don't press enter just yet

5. In your link, change the 'p' (for patient) to 'c' (for clinician)

Press enter and a slit screen will appear

Your patient should appear in the other screen. If audio is not working they might have not clicked the microphone button on their phone. You can still dial and use telephone for audio if necessary
